You already know the Dayton Region is a remarkable place to call home. In just about every respect, the Dayton Region is one of the most livable regions in the country, and there’s really no better place to live, work, learn, and succeed.
For over a year, hundreds of people throughout twelve counties have worked together on an ambitious project to pinpoint exactly what’s so special about our region. The result is a new regional brand to reinforce local pride, encourage community involvement, and make it easier to spread the word about everything our region has to offer.
You’ll be seeing the new brand around town and in local media soon, but it can only truly represent our region with your help.
We all want our community to remain a unique and wonderful place that appeals to new businesses, employees, families, and visitors. As a Brand Ambassador, you can play a key role in ensuring that this vital, shared vision becomes a reality. The Dayton Region needs you, become a Brand Ambassador today.

BRAND AMBASSADOR OPPORTUNITIES
Encourage businesses to “Get Midwest” who are looking for smart, hard-working people. Friends, neighbors and family celebrate what it means to “Be Midwest.”
ORGANIZATION BRAND AMBASSADOR
- Deploy the brand via your organization internet/intranet, print communications, internal newsletters, etc
- Facilitate opportunity for cooperative advertising and/or promotions
- Distribute the brand message to potential employee recruits
- Arrange for DDC representatives to report on the Dayton Region brand at internal leadership and employee meetings
INDIVIDUAL BRAND AMBASSADOR
- Keep the brand team posted on the success of your organization and how you have implemented the brand
- Make one-on-one contact with peers interested in moving to the Dayton Region
- Serve as an authorized representative for occasional visits by organizations and individuals from outside the region
- Participate and contribute based on your specific interests, talents, and availability

Q: WHY DO WE NEED A REGIONAL BRAND?
A: In today’s increasingly interconnected and fast-paced world, the competition to attract and keep industry, business,
residents and visitors, in a given area is more intense than ever. By working together we can make our collective voice
heard and help our region stand out on a national and global stage.
Q: WHY DOES THE BRAND MATTER TO ME?
A: Apart from supporting our local economy and helping our community thrive, the Dayton Region brand matters to all of
us because it represents us. The brand isn’t about where we’re located, or even what we have or do, but who we are, as
individuals and a community.
Q: WHY DO YOU NEED MY HELP?
A: Because the Dayton Region brand is all about who we are, nothing can convey it more powerfully and directly than the
words and actions of our residents. By embracing and promoting the brand, both to others in our community and to those
currently outside it, you can give our brand a face and voice, explaining and exemplifying it like nobody else can.
Q: HOW CAN I HELP?
A: Agree to become a Brand Ambassador, either individually or as an organization, and promote our brand and region both
within and outside our community.
Q: WHAT ARE THE OBLIGATIONS?
A: We appreciate any help you can offer and realize your time is valuable. To give this program the best chance of
success and represent our region most effectively, we ask that you make the following commitments:
- Serve as a Brand Ambassador for a minimum of 18 months.
- Choose the activities and monthly time commitment you consider appropriate, and be prepared to stay consistently involved.
- Designate a delegate to attend meetings or accept assignments if you are unavailable.
- At the end of your service, share your experiences and advice to help train new ambassadors.
